$1,300/second

Putting it into perspective, Exxon earned $114 million per day in the second quarter. That's $79,000 per minute or $1,300 per second.
It's never going to end.

THEY MADE A $10 BILLION PROFIT

Well, they could make very little profit and not have money to invest toward new technoligies for new and/or renewable resources. If you want the real numbers you need to check into how much is reinvested into the industry.

More money for me since I work in the oil industry. So it's all good. It'll keep me in a job for a long time.

Before everyone starts whining about ExxonMobil's profit, do a little research on how much pharmaceutical companies made last year in this country. They make the oil&gas industry look like chump change. IMO healthcare should not cost so much. Yet we all sit back and whine about ExxonMobil over and over again. FYI, the markup on gasoline at the pump is roughly 2 cents a gallon. The markup on a bottle of pills is 1000X's that. food for thought anyway

Well the main reason nobody is complaining about medication costs is because it's a rare occurence. As a delivery guy, i'm spending $100 in gas a week. I'm about to have to sell my truck, getting 17mpg sucks. I hear the cooper mini s gets like 32/37 mpg. They might be sorta fem, but i'm not about to drive a civic!

mini cooper s works gp 784119

Vroom vroom

nothing wrong w/ a civic... just dont try to make it LOOK fast which it never will be... by putting euro tail lights rims and exhaust like i did to mine 3 years ago... i hate my car now because of the stereotype, oh and its SLOW. besides that the gas i love, compared to my bronco i had before. thats why i got it. i get like 38mpg hwy and im a delivery man also so i know how it is and i make money off of the gas money they give me. but dont get the mini... just the fact that the word mini is in the name of the car... women love that...MINI... and im a tall ---- me and mini do not go together
