Help my ZX14 sounds like a Ducati

Hopped on the bike for a spin and it is not running right. Has unburnt gas smell and lack of power and sounds like a twin.
---
I have a warranty thru 2013 and my bike is a 2008 with just above 3,000 miles. Also have a PC3.
----
Need advice, anything I can quick check before carting my bike to the dealer for service. How bought a PC3 reprogram??? Ideas. This is the first time I have had anything wrong on the bike and I just rode it Yesterday morning for a bit without any issues.

Any help would be appreciated. Nick 281...639...3472.

First thing, disconnect the power commander and drive it again.

They can go bad and since they control output to the injectors, could be a serious miss and unburned fuel issue.

Question after re-reading... did the bike sit? Could it have been some bad fuel working its way out?

+1, pull the PC3 out of the circuit.

bike didn't sit too long, haven't ridden in past month or so, having issue with half tank of gas. took to shell and filled up with 93. thought that it could have been a gas issue from lack of riding over past month. However just rode 40 miles yesterday.

If one header tube is cooler than the rest, you might not be getting fire to that cylinder, causing the unburnt fuel. Im not a mech. but i would check the plug and connections and start there. Patrick might have a better answer for you!

Pull the plug for that cylinder and inspect it.

Is it black? Oily? Does it have any damage to it?

While you're at it inspect the coil pack; any signs of arcing?

Also check the wiring connection both to the coil pack and the injector.

Install a new plug and see if it fixes it. If not, swap the coil pack with an adjacent cylinder and see if the problem moves.

If not again then do the same with an injector.
