I went down...still cant walk(GRAPHIC IMAGES)

Tuesday night around 9:45 10pm i left the gym at cypresswood and 45N was going home south bound on 45 i exited fallbrook at beltway 8 and 45 going to bltwy 8 feeder. after i exited i was sitting at a red light waiting to go under 45 and head home. light turned green so i went through the first light second light i turned left to go under 45 was coming up on another light that was green i was going 40 45 mph an SUV ran the red in front of me then stopped so i swerved in front of them and after i swerved the feeder road made a hard right and to hard for my speed and angle approaching it so i locked up trying to avoid hitting the curb i was starting to low side so i tried to sit up straight and as soon as i did bike caught traction and flung me off.. i was wearing all my gear helmet, jacket, gloves, jeans but NO BOOTS my fault i know but i was at the gym. so i woke up and had no idea what happened as soon as i saw my bike i was like FUUUUUUCK!!! so i tried picking it up so no one would run it over (not much traffic) as soon as i put pressure on my left ankle i collapsed and so did the bike.. i looked down at my ankle and almost passed out well i got it up and turned the flashers on and called my brother to come get me and take me to the ER. he got there in a car so he hid my bike in the bushes and we left to the ER. got to the er and from the front door to the desk i left a blood trail so i knew my ankle was effed.. got to a room and took all my clothes off and the dr's went to work( btw all that i can wear again from the wreck is my right sock ).. well heres the result to no boots ...

will post more pictures.. got about 30 stitches and 2 quarter size holes in my ankle and also the person that cut me off did not stop to help

1st time I went down on the freeway, I was wearing sneakers. I had a hole on my ankle, too. Took months and months to heal.

Good luck healing.

BTW, anything broken?

Not condoning not wearing the propper gear all the time but...

I spiraled my tib/fib into 7 pieces about 6 years ago.

Was wearing full race kit. I was on a mini and it was at maybe 20 mph...

It can happen anywhere, any time.

Good luck with your new interal hardware...

No , I went down going like 10, if that, and popped the femur out of socket.

Have crashed going about 90 and a few times at 60+ and walked away.

Glad you could walk away from it.. Well not literally, but none the less bro. Get well soon.

BTW, did the SUV stick around? Or did I miss reading that part?

Good luck but I do not know if boots would have prevented that. At the best it looks like you would just saved the torn skin. Even with boots, the leg breaks. I know.
