Bike Bogging Down

buddy's bike does this when you roll the throttle all the way and hold it, lights dim and it struggles. but if you quickly roll it on and let it go theres no problem, the lights dim as well. once the bike is ran up and down the street a few times...its fine, any suggestions?

sorry for the quality

would this have something to do with the stator? or fuel/air problems? kind of confused...we were pretty sure replacing the stator would fix everything, but this just started happening

it charges sometimes....sometimes it doesn't the plan was to just replace the stator and then the rectifier next check, to be sure. all the wiring looks fine, it just started doing this, not sure why. maybe needs some fuel injection cleaner stuff? the check engine light is on also

its an 04 daytona 600 or 05...i think 04 though.

Based on your VERY sketchy video I'd say by the way the bike sounds it has at minimum a fuel system issue, but real hard to tell. Colud also be electrical.

Sketchy in that it doesn't show much. Not picking on you, just stating it's difficult to diagnose by poorly lit video.

Did he test the stator or is he just playing "Battleship" by replacing parts till he finds the cause?

IMO before he spends that kind of money have him take it to someone and have it looked at.

we tested the voltage using a volt meter, it would charge one day...and the next day it wouldnt, thats what made it decide on the stator. i was posting on here to see if the boggyness (is that even a word ) could be caused by the stator also. we were goign to try and ride it out the Motorcycles Unlimited, but decided against it cause having a battery die on the freeway isnt a good feeling.
