you mean if GP guy's had more track time, the diff. woulda been greater? prolly......

it'd be neat to see how rossi would do on a SBK or AMA bike, and how Mladin would do on a motoGP bike.......both on familiar turf.

The fastest of the superbikes were able to pull laps on qualifying tires almost as fast as what the GP riders were turning during the race. But the track is still kinda new to a lot of the foreign riders. Lap times for SBK may incrementally increase over the next few years, but GP times will make leaps.

i think his head crew chief mentioned that he adjusts to the bike so well that its hard to diagnose or improve the bikes performance. i think the same would apply and he would ride the out of the bike.

Although it seems that WSBK bike are similar to the ones you can buy, they are way too different still. Controls, ecu, traction control, etc etc. MotoGp is going down to 800cc but i bet factories will still hit the same performance they have now.

superbikes imo are about as clase to motogp bike as ever. superbikes are making 200+ hp. they are using traction control that's not on the street bikes they rep., they use diffrent subframes swingarms brake radiator calipers forks guages elctronics. wheels only thing left from the street bike is the frame ( which is still modified with added material to handle the added hp) and the outer engine casings the and the crank. everything else is to be modified but there are rules. pistons can be high comp. cams can be changed but of the same material and etc. oh yeah the oil pan is diffrent too.

I've been blasted for saying this is basically a prototype in itself but to me it still is even if some parts are production parts.

I saw a few SBK races on the teli when i was in Amsterdam. Great stuff. So far this year, I have only seen 1 GP race- the Losail circuit.
