If you see a new bike left outside...

...don't you feel like maybe you should let the owner know that it's not a good idea to leave it outside. I mean, I imagine some guy that just got his first bike new and he has no idea how easy it is for someone to it.

What should I do??

1. Leave a note saying he should bring his bike inside
2. Leave a note with the link to that vid of some guy breaking the steering lock and taking off with someone's bike
3. Do absolutely nothing
4. Take the bike myself so I can have an extra set of parts
5. Put as many MH stickers on the bike as silverfudge can send me
6. Move the bike to another parking spot to freak the owner out.

I'd just leave a note. Also let them know about the MH website site and to look into the stolen bike reports. That'd be the right thing to do.

If you decide on #4 though, call me, I'll bring my truck.

You should never touch anyone else's belongings no matter what the circumstance. Case and point: A year ago, someone working at 24 Hour Fitness in Clear Lake took it upon themselves to take my gear off my bike inside and bring it inside. How about we not touch other people's things?

7. Drop a deuce on the seat. The owner will think twice next time

Seriously, since it means enough for you to actually worry about it, I would leave a note. Nothing wrong with educating others. As for the extra parts, I doubt it is a VFR so I vote no on that one since I won't benefit from it.

I had a guy walk up to me in my old apartment complex right after i got my old black 600rr. He was telling me that he used to have a bike here and parked it right where i did and it got stolen. He just wanted to warn me. I said thanks and a couple weeks later it got stolen.

I didn't make any changes but i appreciated his looking out and warning. Now that bike is gone.

Not your business!! Besides the owner can be suspicious about your "good" intentions.

That's what kinda stops me from putting stickers or moving the bike at all. Of course if I did something, i'd have my bike close by and I don't think he'd be able to catch me judging by his chicken strips.
