That's pretty weak

Actually, Amsoil has no limit on how long you can use it as long as it is tested and not broken down. If I'm not mistaken they had a semi go 400k on one change.

I for one don't even like going 8k miles like my honda manual says so pushing past that is hard for me to do either way no matter what oil I use.

Look at it this way. There has not been a reason for 3k or 3mo. in forever. Its silly. Asian cars were the first I noticed extending it to around 7.5k. It likely a combination of better tolerances and improvements in oil additives.

Not saying it can't. My truck did well. I have a hard time wrapping the comfort in my mind around it. Overkill is better than underkill unless using an oil with detergents like Rotella.

I have not even made 3k on the bike though. Thats different. Due to the drag racing I change it all the time.

Sorry but I can add nothing to this thread, besides every time factory inspectors come to my shop for motor warranties they photograph the oil pan, bottom side of the motor, and removed valve covers. Also I do not believe you aware of how hard it is to do warranty work and how many loophole there are in a warranty. Sounds great they will step right up to the plate, ask C.hern how well their warranty worked out.

I do UOA's on my '05 vette to see how they worked, had coolant show up excessive.
