Heres your answer...and its saddly IRONIC..

He drove on the median so as to not run into the pedestrian.... instead he hit the car, and his bike hit the pedestrian...

Noticed that too, looks a lot like his arm flew off but there's no blood slung around...maybe that's just in the movies.

And I don't think those people are just ignoring what happened...looks like they've got their phones out calling for help. Does seem strange that their not paying more attention to whether the pedestrian is ok or not though.

Not that it matters but he didn't walk up there, he was driving a red dodge crew cab dually 4x4. he parked, waalked 20 ft and jumped off the right side, that bridge is the highest point in the city of round rock. But yes...it did make a thud.
