people who like to PUSH it to the edge crash a lot early on, when they r just starting out. i think u like to push it, so if i were u, i wld rather do it on an older bike than a newer race bike.
i m pretty sure u (me too actually) still have some crashing to do (not that it ever ends:icon_bigg ), so rather do it on ur current bike. or if its too fcked up, then get an 01-02 race prepped bike. u can race it cos it will be race legal, but u also wont hv to worry too much about dropping and fcking it up. u ll easily get one for 3.5-4k.
you r not old like me, so dont be in a hurry, and go for a 05-06 kind of a race bike only when u hv done most of ur learning curve crashing already

636, hands down. It's a great package, crashes well, almost as much power as the 750, handles pretty well box stock, good brakes.

not good then. even if it really is a technical reason, i would rather take responsibility for consequences of my own actions.
i crashed at TWS (Texas World Speedway) turn 13. I came back and said " oooh, my my street tire, it just did not have any more traction left in it". but on second thoughts, its ME who SHOULD HAVE known how much traction my street tire has, so the fault is still mine!

Super fun bike on the track. Amazing turn in, braking and smooth power delivery with out using a commander. Just drop a tooth in the front, add a slip, have Patrick setup the suspension and you can turn sub 2:00 on DOT race tires with stock equipment and street plastic.

still won't admit it was your fault. if it wasn't then who's fault was it.

bottom line is you still haven't got a firm handle on what you're riding already. seeing as though you crash quite often.

RacerX is right in that of a SV650. The 99-02 models are very good at taking crashes.

Forgot to add that if you are crashing at track days, you aren't ready for racing.
