To the Duc owners that hurt my feelings. Why are you so rude?

I am not singling out ALL Duc owwners, just the ones that are stuck up snobs.

For the most part, the few Duc owners I have met off this forum have been cool.

I have noticed how they tend to be at the bars showing the races, bike nights, track.

I am probably blowing it out of proportion and the few Dug guy's doucheness is so great that it makes it seem more widespread than it is. Just seems that every time I come across a GROUP of these guys, they act like serious .

Just a few months ago, I was riding my CBR and stopped at this car/bike event and there was a group of these guys. Parked close to them and asked someone a question. The guy serioiusly rolled his eyes with a smug smirk and turned away. I was like, you then, . As I walked away, this older guy that saw what happened was laughing and told me to not feel bad, they are incredibly rude to everyone.

They seem to be almost only when in packs.

Am I wrong, am I just noticing the times they are rude and not the times they are nice?

Either way, this goes to the ones that are like this.

i agree. Duc owners are . I ride a 848, i got it cause of the color and the look. They need to learn that it's a hobby, and just cause it's a duc doesn't they're better than anyone. I actually regret getting the duc and wished I got a r6 instead.

Thats weird.

I could see if they were like super fast but I can seriously count on one hand how many times I have been passed by a guy on a Duc on the country roads or the track. Most of them are SLOOOOOOWWWWW.

Well, maybe in a "click" like in any click mentality they may be rude (havent experienced that yet), but i have met 2 Duc Riders. 1st is SundayRider and he is a really nice and polite guy. The other one was this guy that I parked my bike next to at a bar on Washington, and the dude was cool, he asked me about my bike, I asked him about his. He told me he got it cuz it was a steal for what he paid.

So far so good for me... But there is a lot of bike snobs no matter what kind of bike they ride... I think it might just be the Click mentality. IMO

I think there are a lot of assumptions going on in here. People stereotype motorcycles as a whole the same way, so I'm surprised you guys are doing the same.

Hey, I was a Duc owner. 2 1994 Ducati 900 SS/SP's. Now it's worse, I ride a Bimota with a Ducati motor. The horror.

I hate to admit it but there is a fringe group of Ducati owners that DO NOT get it. They are arrogant pricks. No argument, no stereotype, just the way it is.

I am occassionally rude to others, but generally only when they have been to me, so don't blame the bike in my instances.

That said, I have met some of the best people on Ducati motorcycles. It's like anything, always some a-holes.

The good news is that the upper managment and most true Ducatisti are not this way. Two years ago I was invited to a breakfast a Laguna Seca by Ducati NA for D16 owners. I do not have one, but a friend ordered two, so I got a seat. A few D16 guys pulled up with all the Ducati stuff, loud, obnoxious, look at me types. My friend and I ended up sitting with a "normal like us" guy that rode his up (no chicken strips BTW).

At the breakfast, the head of marketing and others basically ignored the obnoxious guys, sat with us three and asked us our opinion about why we ride, why we like Ducati, etc. When he found out I didn't own one (yet), but that my favorite was the 2V Ducati air cooled 900 SS/SP, he talked about it and how others have similiar thoughts.

Great, friendly, down to earth people.

If only all the dealers had the same message received by the upper managment, there would be even fewer of the type owners you describe.

Most get it, a few don't.

I have met a few, two were pretty cool people.. one was an obnoxious .

Granted I could say that about any "group" of people that have similar interests. But the il duce douche that I met felt to me like he assumed he was better than everyone else because the pricetag of his bike was greater.

Alright dude, dont get your panties in a wad. Read my whole post, pay special attention to the first 2 sentences.

And sorry that all CBR owners you have come across are like that.
