do one thing at a time. live with the belly for a lil bit. once u hv the size that u want, then get back to cardio, and burn the fat off and get left with only muscule weight.

to give u my own eg, i ran the houston half marathon in Jan. From 170 pounds and 17% body fat, i came down to 165 pounds and 12% body fat in 3 months of training. after the run, i decided i wanted a lil bulk. so i stopped cardio almost alltogether, did only heavy weights, ate like a dawg (even junk) and last month reached 179 pounds. from then, i hv cut down on my fatty diet, burn around 3000 fat calories every week (doing cardio, playin tennis, volleyball) and m aiming at being 172ish pounds in 2 more months. i m 177 right now

I don't drink much but this is how I look at it...if you're trying to be healthy but want to "celebrate" once in a while...I think beer is the worst way to go...depending on your tolerance... Since women have a tendency to carry more water weight and whatnot then men, it'll just look worse when yer trying to get buzzed or drunk or whatever....cause you're going to have to drink a certain number of beers to get that vibe. And the more beer you drink, the more liquid that gets in yer body and the more bloated you'll look. And since not many people drink water when they drink alcohol, yer body is dehydrated and tries to absorb any water it'll try to get. So all in all...just take shots...hits you quicker...less to drink...and less bloated you'll be. lol If shots is too much...just get what liquor and something diet/water, at least that'll be less calories.

I run 4 miles two times a week and life heavy weights three times a week... I'm 6'3 and weigh 180....

My plan now is to eat as much chicken, turkey and tuna as possible... I feel great, am looking better and am stronger than every before. I take the GNC wey protein and it mixes real well and tastes pretty good. I take about 40 grams right after my workout everyday.

Slowly but surely I'm getting there... I just have to realize that I'll never sacrifice size over cardio so I'll never get big. I just want to me 'underwear model-ish' if that makes any sense, haha. :laughing6

Good luck with it, heh, but seriously, when I was taking it 3 times a day, I gained a steady 3-4 pounds per week, so be carefull, if you want to gain weight it will sure as put it on you, but if you slack up on your training your really really going to regret it :P

It was all fat. i had a gut and luv handles, and they are gone now. I really hated carrying around extra weight. I also wanted a good starting place to begin building strength and mass. Before i was building mass without doing much dieting and cardio and i was what Paul called a dirty 215lbs.

i brought this thread back up because I picked up some of that Muscle Milk Ramius recommended instead of my normal Whey protein. The MM taste fantastic. Yum, cookies and cream.

i wanted to as Ramius about how often to take it. I tried PMing him, but his inbox was full.

i was drinking one shake after working out, but today i felt like drinking one before for the energy boost that it is suppose to give. Then after working out I wanted another shake. That stuff is addicting.

SO, that's it, i was just wondering how you use it.

jason, yor supposed to drink protein shakes 30 minutes before the workout and 30 minutes after. i TOOK 2 servings before and after but by drinking alchohol bi-weekly, it neutralized results. more mass but beer belly.

Yup, Arturo is right, 30 mins before, and no more than 1 hour later.

Your body after a workout goes into a catatonic state and is absorbing as many nutriants as it can to heal your body. This lasts for about an hour.

I also took a third right before I went to bed.

With 3 a day.. I began gaining weight quick (with that brand)

Just have to watch the cardio because your body will start to get dirty if you let it go unchecked =)
