Well, act professional and they dont have to worry about that happening. Cop is only human but if you cannot handle your cool in this job, find another line of work.

I hate runners more than any one, but the punishment is for a jury or judge to decide in a court of law, not the street by a cop.

We are a country of laws and no one is above them, not even the police.

Pretty simple.

Say what you want but whatever he deserved, it shouldn't have come from a baton, held by an officer while another held him down, more than 15 times.

Yes, but you and I and the buddies are not OFFICERS OF THE LAW that went to an academy to train to be professionals and RESPECT, I repeat R-E-S-P-E-C-T the law.

Argue up and down, hold your tongue cause you think you have the answer, think what you want. The law is the law and no citizen or cop, especially a cop, has the right to break it just cause they were angry.

Like I said before, if you cannot handle the job, find another line of work.

YES, believe it or not, its that simple.

well at least they didn't shoot him (remember this)

I think, the "LAW" seems to be subject to much discretion/interpretations.

each individuals actions are unique.
graber cop 630
EX.........
I got caught passin' a LEO, in the neighboothood, wheelie'n 70 in a 30, but I waited at the next stop sign for him to catch up, so I didn't get the stick...

same thing down Hwy 6, wheelie,n, stopped at the fast food, as I got off the bike, screech of tires, lights, had the tazer warning, cuffed and in the back, after 20 minutes, I was let go.
The officer said... "looks like your one of the Good guys(?)

so just sayin........while many complain about their treatment
I want to say thanks.............. for NOT kickin' my

I have to tip my hat to the other officers in the dept. who felt this should be investigated and not covered up.

As soon as the red and blue lights came on, he should have stopped, probably would have avoided all the problems. But the officers who were unable to to control their tempers are psychologically unfit to be police.

DOES NOT MATTER! Nothing the perp did justifies this.

He was NOT an immediate threat. He did NOT present a clear and present danger to the officers or the community. He did NOT resist arrest. Therefore there was NO cause for ANY use of force. These cops should spend a few years in Huntsville for felony assault. But of course the department (taxpayers) will pay a lot of money while the cops will walk with a slap on the wrist.

Anyone that pulls that needs to go to jail. Runners are almost always not even skilled at riding a bike at a high level and you end up with incidents like the guy inside the back of the van.

ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACKS! It's so easy to take things a face-value! Try once to work the streets amongst idiots instead of sitting in your safe bubble THEN judge the Police.

Oh really?

Well, how about the guy that has the neighbor or bully that harasses him day in day out, or the wife that is abused by her husband for years, or the kid that is molested by an family member, the day that any of these people lose it and go off and beat the out of or kill one of thse , you know what will happen to them?

Straight to jail. What happens when you try to explain that they need to hear the story leading up to it? They dont give two , you broke the law and THATS IT!

So dont give me that arm chair quarterback .

If you cannot handle the job, dont do it.

speaking of stereotypes, you have to consider what part of town this was in also. those not here or from here may not realize how different the 2 cities are, dallas and houston. martin l king blvd is the hood. so its more than a sport bike stereotype, its probably a black thing. but just like sport bikes im sure they get tired of being put in the position to stereotype due to the rest of the societies actions. know what im sayin? it goes both ways.

A few things are learned here.
1. Pull the over
2. Never say what you are fixin to do
3. Always park with camera facing away
4. Full leathers would have protected him from the beating a little better.
