I would focus on something that doest require so much upkeep. Ducs are nice but seem expensive to deal with.

Plus you have to get the Euro hair cut, sip espresso with a pinky in the air, start hanging out with a bunch of douche bag people and youll have to start riding super slow.

But seriously, get something that will be more affordable to upkeep and more importantly, repair should you go down.

Like someone once told me, its not if you can afford to buy the bike, but can you afford to crash it?

Know someone w/ a CBR600 for sale, think it has pazzo levers, clip ons, sets, penski rear, Race fairings, 2 vortex front stays, and I'm sure it has a couple other things here and there that I'm missing... PM me if you are interested

I've got a 2004 GSXR 750 I've been thinking about selling. It's a complete race setup. Clear title and some spare parts, etc.

SV 650, or older 600cc CBR, Yamaha or Ninja, , even a Ninja 250, get it for cheap and use some money to trick it out.

SV650S has been mentioned before but needs some parts to make it viable. Patrick has a nice setup CBR 600 F4i sitting there that looks interesting as well if you're looking for a pure track bike. And they're cheap to crash.
