A lot of the reason the r6 feels a lot more aggressive and quicker is due to the shortened turn radius required in the r6 throttle body.

Most gixxers switch over to an r6 or r1 throttle body because fully opening throttle on most gixxers requires more wrist movement than is capable without "creeping your hand up"

oh yeah i did read something about that.... but that defeats the purpose of getting a gsxr. i heard something about a 520 conversion. what do you guys think about that? for sure im going to swap out an exhaust in the near future.

any other thoughts?

I dont see how reducing the amount of wrist input neccesary defeats the purpose... would it set easier on your mind if instead of saying "get r6/r1 throttle" I said "get part #XYZ because it makes it easier to turn the throttle"?

You're not changing anything about the bike except how many degrees you have to turn the throttle to get 100% of the available power.

EDIT: Oh wait, yeah I said throttle body, and I meant "throttle mod" its just this change here:

i meant i didnt want to do anything to a gsxr to make it feel like my r6 or something like that. appreciate the link though! ill look into it

did you feel a significant increase in speed? i read something about being quicker on accel while sacrificing top speed. ill look into 520 conversions after i get bored of my gsxr's speed
