This makes my blood boil. While it is illegal to lane-split in TX (and I don't), it is also illegal for them to try to enforce.

I dont really want to see it leagalized here(and probably wont ever be), but I think with publicity and warning of imprisionment for purposely attemting harm to bikers.I dont think it would be much different than cali. except our avg. traffic day aint compared to the bay area

I had a guy flick a cigarette at me as I was splitting one day when traffic was bumper to bumper and I was tired of sitting in traffic in the hot sun with all my gear.

Although a regular spring-loaded center punch works quite nicely and is the size of a pencil.

I feel for you, but who knows - he might have had a valid emergency. I know when I was driving somebody to the hospital years back I think I was on 2 wheels (in a car) to pass a car on one of the 1-lane curving overpasses on Sam Houston Pkwy. Not saying I was in the right but I was channeling fricken Ricky Bobby!

Yea, I know that's what I did. Maybe next time I should strap them on the pillion seat on my bike and splitting lanes like the guy in this vid.

That really isn't that crazy. The left lane has a solid yellow that drivers cannot cross and unlike texas in california 99.99% of people do not cross that line when they are not supposed to. Try splitting lanes on 45 now that is crazy.

Congrats on being a complete tool

Maybe you should have moved to the "open lane on the right" since the left lane is for passing, which the dude was obviously trying to do. You suck.

I agree, that is a Triumph. Nothing else sounds like that. They almost sound like they have a little super charger on them.

not to say the guy in the car was right but what were you doing in the far left lane when there's an open lane on the right??? I believe LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY, SLOW TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT. They actually have those signs in other cities and states but I haven't seen more than one in Houston.
