I like what Max said about the Yamaha breaking down yet through the entire race they showed that "legendary" yami commercial!!!!
HP had nothing to do with it today.... Laguna is the slowest track on the schedule and has the shortest straight. This was a totally 'anti-hp' track... it comes down to the tires. Notice how he was super competitive until about 1/2 race distance? Well that was because his tires (Bridgestones) gave in. The top 4 guys were all Michelin riders.

Congrats to nicky...I'll be honest, I didn't think he would pull it off. That's not to say I wasn't rooting for him, I just wasn't 100% sure if he could do it.

What an impressive showing for Chris V.

I'm not a big fan of Danny P, but man that kid is very impressive.

KRJR, still a strong finish.

I'll admit I like Rossi, and as we all know he's very talented. I hate the fact that the race ended the way it did for him.

all in all, I enjoyed the race and I'm looking forward to the trip next year.

I'm a big fan of Shinya Nakano.. I know I let out an "OH NO!" when I saw coasting on the side of the track. That dude deserves so much better. I felt really bad when they showed how angry he was in the garage.

He's never been that way before, even after his rear tire exploded at 190+ mph, which could have easily killed him. He's a class act, and I hope he jumps ship next year. Rumour has him going to the Konica Minolta Honda team. I hope so.

Then again, who knows which team will have the best bike next year with the new 800cc format. :dontknow:

I missed the whole thing, but to tell you the truth as great as Rossi is, I'm glad to see someone else win. Not wishing bad luck to him, but it's a bit old watching him come from behind the last 3-5 laps and win. Kinda like watching Miladin go wire to wire every week.........:eh:

Agreed, poor guy has had a rough season. I was hopping Hopper would have
a stronger finish, and my ducati guys just couldn't get it right.

When asked at the viewing party who would take the win, I couldn't answer the question. I really believed it was anybodys race. How about the hour long
prerace special, that is the kind of coverage I would like to see from now on.

I didn't see it the prerace stuff if it was SpeedTV specific, but agreed. THey should have the pre-race grid walk, interviews etc. AND most definitely qualifying!

Awesome! I like Rossi ( of course) but Hayden is a fav too. Really wanted to see Edwards on the podium. What happened to him?

I'm with Steve-O on this one, best tires and suspension (bumpy track) were the ones who really had a chance. Too bad Rossi's engine blew, he would've finished 3rd.
