10 years agou dad came home with a sport rider mag with the brand new gsx-r 1000. Pressed the cover in my face and said, "look!"

Knew I had to have one. I think it was the article vs the vette, where the gsx-r would lap it every 7 laps at some track.

Ended up getting the busa after starting on a 600 because my dad likened it to the millennium falcon - stretching stars.

My next bike will either be a gsx-r 1000 or a super duke.

Wanted something with a 6th gear, a few less vibes, and a little more power over the 01 Bandit. Already had Pigpens bike and decided it would do everything I wanted and more, so ended up with two. Looked hard at the Busa and everyone has one and I just don't like the style.

I have yet to see a second 12R on any of the rides I've been on, and I like being "different"..

I have a XJ600, it's the predecessor to the FZ6. It's my second in 4 years.

I had all of 500 in the first, 800 into this one.

Box stock other then the Progressive shock because the stocker is complete .

I am over 40, have no ego, it gets 50+ mpg, is way faster then traffic and
handles well, is very comfy and I can throw it down the road tomorrow, find, buy,
fix up a new one to replace it for less then most people pay for a exhaust system.

(and it has a center stand!!!)

Nope; I keep up w most people that ride around me so why bother? I mean it tops out at 105 w me on it but can YOU do that through all the curves? or on every corner of the tracks? I cant... so why bother? Yes I lose acceleration but its funny to hear people's responses on 1ks and 600s when I say "I wish you wouldnt slow down so fkn much going into a corner, takes me forever to accelerate when he hit the straight unlike you" lol. Do you use all of your 600ccs? I ask from my experience, been there done that now improving on what I want to improve on.

well lets see here i started off with what my funds let me do and bought a stripped down drag TLR. 200 rear, 120/60 front, all unnecessary bits and pieces removed. spent most of my money putting it back together to stockish form. earlier this year bro lauched it into a tree and i bought a cheap F4 that i flipped to hold me over while i fix the TLR. after much time and money this is what ive got now. i cant really say why i love this bike soo much, maybe cuz i personally did everything, maybe cuz of the character, maybe cuz my initials = TL45450 1534117626613 1044965145 31614056 865089 n

I second the motion to sticky. Having this stickied would mean less new thread about the same topic.

Plus, we could look back to this for memories etc.

Wanted a Speed Triple. Stumbled across a rich dude with an F4i, only 1200 miles. (Friend of a friend) Wanted $3500. Deal! He didn't even count the $. Just pocketed cash and toured me & my gf around his 32 acre lake house. Spent more on his pool than I did my home.

When I set out to find my first bike, I wanted something Innexpensive but that was still in solid condition. I looked here on the site and some of the bikes where out of my range. I looked at two but one seller was not motivated at all and just kinda faded away. The other was really motivated but the paint job on the bike was bad, the brake lever was messed up, and the price just wasn't what I thought it should be.When I found my bike finaly!... Talked to the guy, went to see it, loved the look, sounded great and the price was right so I called the guy and made the deal! I didnt feel comfortable riding it home yet so had my friend ride it for me. It's got a purdy Blue Pearl paint job on it...

We have been inseperable since and I have been having a great time on it...

I will try and save my hardest for my next bike to be Honda too.

I love the NEKKIDness! I have my SV because I wanted to move up from my Nighthawk 250, and I wanted a sport bike. The SV was a good deal ($2300 with only 13k miles), so I bought it. It turned out to be a very comfortable bike with enough powah for me. I would love to move up to a 1k, but I am not working and do not have funds for such things.

I DO have my eye on a black one that's fully faired. OMG - I it!

My best friend bought this bike brand new from KOP, he rode it for one summer and parked it in his house.

We were bullshitting one day talking about bikes, I told him I was looking at buying another one. He told me to make an offer on his. I tossed out 5 grand just to see what he would say, the next day when I got home it was sitting in my drive way.

The bike is not even broke in yet, it only had 351 miles on it when I picked it up from him 5 months ago. Since then I was out of the country and only had a chance to put a couple hundred miles on it myself.

Now I'm itching for the ran to stop.

Had a fzr600 i picked up cheap, commuted on it, took it to the dragstrip and made quite a few passes on it(i used to go to the dragstrip all the time when i was younger). Got a killer deal on an 03 gsxr750 from a coworkers cousin, i set it up as a street/strip bike, raced it quite a bit, but then was bit by the faster bike bug, picked up an 01 gsxr1000 off here cheap, now all i do is dragrace it.

so i guess you can say i currently have my gsxr1000 to dragrace
