Im pretty sure there's a similar thread here somewhere but cant find it...

ME:
It was a great deal to pass. 3k for a clean 02zx6 with low miles. Im also a noob so i dont want to when I drop/crash a brand new bike.

-your reason here-

I actually went into the dealership to buy a Z1000 i had been looking at for a long time. Walked out with my 14. Fresh from the crate. I guess i got the 14 instead because i use it as a daily driver and its pretty darn comfortable...........

well...my parents, my mom said "if you want me to help you get a bike, it better be a new one"

plus they took off 3k of the MSRP, so it all worked out

Always said I'd never be able to outride a 250; so when the busa was stolen, sold the 600, gave away the 900s and bought the 250. As always, I made what seemed like a stupid purchase w eccentric mods but turned out an eye turner

My budget was $4k. I went looking and looking. Took me a couple of months and I finally decided on an '06 charcoal grey gixxer. One day I went by Wild West Honda and there was a beautiful white and silver one way out of my price range but only 750 miles on the odometer. Went home and slept on it. Asked dealer to drop the price by $500 and I'd take it. He did and I dropped off the $4k. Waited for payday and dipped into my savings for the rest and I picked it up that Saturday.

Test rode the zx14 at the 07 international motorcycle show. Went and traded in my 06 636 for it the next weekend. And I bought the zx6r off of here cuz it was cheap as and the zx14 wasn't working as a track bike

Being 6' and have ridden a few CBRs (including a 900rr I got from a person on here) rode my buddy's R6, with my dad's recommendation I sat on a VFR at the dealer. It felt like the perfect fit for me. With a budget of 4k I went searching. I actually wanted something I could tour on as well as commute on. Plus, once I heard a gutted exhaust with that bulletproof V4, I couldn't think about any other bike.

i have mine because seating position is the best on the fz6, also the handling and cornering goes hand by hand.

Because at 280lbs, a 250r would not suffice!

I had bought a GS500F for starters. Had planned on having it for at least 2 years. Then I rode my friend's F4i... man, I had to upgrade! I actually joined MH for the reason of buying a bike. Saw a fairly good deal and bought my '06 GSXR 600 this last Feb for 4500. I was working in the panhandle at the time, so riding was more fun in my little area than H-town.

Well from my lighter friends who have ridden 250s on the freeway, it can already be dangerous if you can't pass people. I don't want to take that risk, and on top of that, the front forks were nearly fully compressed when I sat on the bike!

My story is:

I started on an R1, loved it but after about a year I for some reason didn't ride so much. I traded it in for a Harley V-Rod because I thought I was tired of the crotch rocket positioning all day. I hated the Harley after about 2 months. It just wasn't me. I sold it to my dad and he bought a Fatboy for himself with it. 2 years later I'm itching for a ride.... but for the track. I get an R6 and LOVE it at the track each time I go. Almost a year of that I missed the streets. I sold my r6 and told myself I was going to get my dream bike.

I emailed the dealership about a Monster 1100s they had. I was sold on the body kit selected for it. Went to see it in person to make sure I wanted it. I loved, and he wanted to show me the StreetFighter they just got in, just because, and as we walked towards it I see my bike and I knew I had to have it.... so I bought that one 2 days later instead of the other M1100s.
