Dude used to hang at PP1 with an FZR1000. He told everyone it is a rare European model 1993 YZF1000 (some name, not sure if he said fireblade). No windscreen, no helmet. He would go out on "routes". He claimed a top speed of 210, I believe. He came back from a route one night with his chic on the back. As they were getting off, I heard him tell her "that was only 180".

I swear these dudes flock to me when I ride. Doesnt matter what bike Im on, they always show up to tell me stories.
I have a cool, mildly related story though from this recent trip to colorado.

Well Im riding the KTM down the streets of Lake City (super small town of maybe 500-1,000 folks) We roll slowly past a group of young kids, maybe 12 or 13. They started hollering "do a wheelie do a wheelie!!!" Usually when people ask me that it annoys the out of me but these were little kids. So I clutched up a short one (I suck at them) and when I put it back down I turned around and the kids were going crazy! They thought it was the coolest thing ever. It made me laugh and smile all the way back to the trail head.

Haha, I hear ya dave! Once upon a time when my Ninja500 and I were inseperable I would every month or so get "that guy" who would be like "dayum, thats a sweet ride, do you do tricks on it??" and then go off about how they used to pop wheelies and junk on whatever bike they supposedly had.

I think I met this guy in a bar in Groveton (Deep east Texas) this weekend....said he used to ride a 94 Katana 750 that would do 205 mph and did a 1/4 mile in 7.5-9 seconds....I went with it and lol'd all inside to myself....then I whipped his at a game of pool.

Read em' all, nothing comes close to my "this guy". Outside of Hempstead 5 years ago, a guy asks me if I know who he is? THEN he tells me he is Nicky Hayden. Seriously. Even he believed it.

After 25 years of riding, I still know that I have not heard it all, from lubing Johnson Rods to Ducatis that don't have a redline.

The guy that tried to share the parallel parking spot at El P... was one of those guys.

I made a commen to the effect, the if he rode he'd have know better then to put his car in a parking spot with a bike.

Best one I had was a guy in the parking garage at work. I had just parked my ZX10 and walked in the building taking off my jacket.

He's standing at the elevator with this smoking hot chick,
Him: nice bike
Me: thanks
Him: What kind is it?
Me thinking to myself, it's a Kawasaki dumbass can't you tell from the bright green: It's a Kawasaki ZX10.
Him: I have an 05 ZX11, it's pretty quick
Her: I've never seen it, why don't you ride it to work.
Him: I need to have the carbs synched
Me thinking to myself, they don't make an 05 ZX11, you tool: Let me know if you need a hand, I know a couple of good shops that can get that handled for you that are pretty reasonable.
Him: Thanks, but I like to do the work myself.
Me: Yeah I do all my own work as well, I just replaced the factory ECU with a race unit from Kawasaki, and replaced the exhaust system.
Him: I extended the swingarm on mine so I could get better traction for riding wheelies, I had the ECU modded for I could bring it up faster.
Me: Sweet, ahve a good one man, I stepped out of the elevator

A few weeks ago my wife and I went out to visit my folks. A buddy stopped by and we had to go pick up some ammo a guy was selling so we hopped in my mom's S2000. Driving through Tomball a guy in leather chaps and a long ponytail under his modular helmet w/ a [not so good-looking] female on the back of a scooter pulled up next to us at a red light. He motioned to turn my music down and then proceeded to tell me "you should trade that in for a bike then you can pick up hot chicks like this" as he grabbed the chin piece of his woman's helmet and turned her towards us like a trophy. I was dumbfounded but somehow managed to control my laughter to ask him "a bike or a scooter?" to which he replied "either one works." Just before the light turned green a group of harleys passes and he made a gun with his hand and shot each one of them, then blew off the "smoking barrel" before taking off.

Airbourne was with me and can corroborate the story, it was mind blowing.
