HOUSTON—One man was arrested early Friday after leading police on a high-speed motorcycle chase through northeast Houston.

Houston police spotted two motorcycles racing on I-45 near Crosstimbers around 2 a.m.

They attempted to pull over one of the motorcyclists, but the rider gunned it. Police chased the suspect across multiple highways until the driver exited Little York and ditched his bike on McGallion at Cliffside.

He fled into a nearby backyard, where he was spotted by an HPD helicopter and taken into custody.

He is now facing felony charges.
