See I don't understand this. I have gone on one long trip without a jacket and I will prefer one over not any day. I have a mesh jacket and it is MUCH cooler wearing it. The sun isn't beating on you, it breaths great, and I have gotten chills in 90 degree weather due to the air blowing over the sweat. Yes, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic sucks, but it would be hot without the gear as well.

Read that comment again. I think he's being sarcastic that if it's ever to hott to wear gear he rather cage it anyway.

But yea ur right about the mesh jacket. Or even perforated leather is cooler without the sun beating down on ur skin. It's the same concept of ppl who live in the desert and cover their entire bodies to stay cool.

No I understand fully what HE is saying. My comment was on the excuse we hear all the time about it being too hot that his caging comment was in reference to.

I didnt leave w them purposely, stayed where we were by my lonesome because of their attitudes, and didnt agree to anything that went on that night.

If it had been me that he hit, considering the situation I would have beaten him while he was on the ground w my helmet. And then later w the other news. NOT EXAGERATING THE LEAST BIT.

When I finally got the voicemail on the next day my response was "he ok?".... then... "ok." No tolerance on my end on that type of stupidity especially when people and cops tell him not to ride.

As for people the complain about roadrash pain from your own stupid mistakes or brag in anyway about their minor wreck excessively... another reason why I ignore you. That's childish and a sad way to represent motorcycling.

Grow the fk up people, be responsible on your bike or be on the news as yet another dumbazz at 1 in the morning fkn' up. Darwinism is the only positive but insurance rate increases are what effect the rest of us w common sense.
...yyyyeah... he keeps trying to get me to go ride with him, but any time i have been around him, he's talking about how he's doing like 140 on 45 or just being very unsafe in general. he's flown past my wife and demonstrated to my kids how much of a badass he is. i hope he's ok, but i also hope he stops riding. he's got a kid of his own.

Preaching about gear... I always say " em, they'll never learn". But when I'm out riding and it's a friend, I'll always stop, wince, give them the lowdown and share some stories about others that weren't so lucky.

I think meeting Ben is what finally made my gf realize that needing all this bulky hot gear is worth the trouble.

I dont always wear my gear when Im within a couple miles from my house(always a helmet though unless Im batman.) But I also dont ride highway speeds nor around any others, I get out from closing bars early and I always get myself home. If I have a passenger I refuse to drink anything or do anything to put them in harms way at anytime they are on the back.

The younger crowd seems to forget some of us have been doing this alot longer w more miles, more riding conditions, track, rides, distances, etc. The attitude of such seasoned riders show in the way we ride and is clearly visible to us who those are that are not by the way they handle their bike in general riding. Also the chit talking... plain give away of ignorance and bad self representation of abilities.

(if one of the above comments were focused towards me.)

Pick and choose your battles, I say it everytime.

I've noticed that riders that wear the most gear need it the least, and riders that wear the least gear need it the most, and that it strangely enough coincides with experience or lack of
