riders down- last saturday, so OFN

i heard from a friend at work that carpet went down and clipped the rear end of another bike, taking him down, too. the work friend said that carpet wasnt wearing a jacket, just a helmet, and that he now has a whole lot less skin on his arms.
sorry to take a parental type attitude about it, but dammit, how many times did i preach AGATT to him? another friend at work just lost a cousin that might still be alive if he was wearing gear.
another co worker, who states he rides a zx6 (that nobody has ever seen) also boasts about not needing any gear like he's the biggest badass since sliced bread.

its hot outside, but not so hot that i'd rather be picking gravel out of my arms for the next 20 years. wtf people, wear gear, dont die, and FFS if you have kids dont put your life on the line by acting stupid on a bike on the streets. stunting in an empty lot is one thing and racing on a track is another, but with carpet, i feel like he probably was doing some stupid .
maybe he'll let us know.

anyways, speedy recovery, mang. get back to work, .

I feel sorry for the rider that he clipped.

There was a forest ride posted one year with a huge turnout. Gear was recommended and one rider replied "I'm just wearing a t-shirt because that's the way I roll, playas". He was correct because he went down right in front of me on 3090 and rolled right into the ditch.

I am reminded of the video of the stunter doing naked wheelies and then going down at around 30ish mph...

Afterwards tries to act like a total badass, but you know he was in some serious pain.

I'll continue to preach, especially to those I consider friends.

As the old saying goes: "You can't fix stupid"

More to the story but I'll leave it to them to tell if they desire.

And it was Friday night.

I didnt leave w them purposely, stayed where we were by my lonesome because of their attitudes, and didnt agree to anything that went on that night.

If it had been me that he hit, considering the situation I would have beaten him while he was on the ground w my helmet. And then later w the other news. NOT EXAGERATING THE LEAST BIT.

When I finally got the voicemail on the next day my response was "he ok?".... then... "ok." No tolerance on my end on that type of stupidity especially when people and cops tell him not to ride.

As for people the complain about roadrash pain from your own stupid mistakes or brag in anyway about their minor wreck excessively... another reason why I ignore you. That's childish and a sad way to represent motorcycling.

Grow the fk up people, be responsible on your bike or be on the news as yet another dumbazz at 1 in the morning fkn' up. Darwinism is the only positive but insurance rate increases are what effect the rest of us w common sense.
