I just laughed at the fact that your songs were oddly appropriate for what was occurring in the video.

I walked away from the screen for a second and heard under pressure, and was like "if he is airing up his tires....."

and you were.. lol

Progress Update:
My brother in law took the Z50 for a few weeks even though the bike was running like . The carb was way off and when he brought it back to me, he had been riding it with the intake duct taped up so almost no air was getting in, so that he could kinda ride it around. Also he stripped the throttle housing completely. So it was in need of serious attention because we are going camping this weekend.

So I got to work wondering if I could even save the thing in time. I broke the carb down and noticed the air screw and idle screw had lots of build-up. CLeaned it really well and verified I had a stock 58 main jet. Then I pulled the plug and it looked like a dried up dog . So fresh carb back to factory specs on the needle and air mix, freshly gapped plug and new gas, and the thing fired up first kick. I got the idle down, and rode it and for no tuning at all I would say its running really well. Probably at 70% of what my CRF feels like. I'm ecstatic the thing runs the way it does, as I've never done a top end, especially one with a hand tuned (bashed) crankshaft or questionable cam chain tension. Nor have I gotten that deep in a carb, but it was all rather self explanatory especially with the strange range of knowledge from MH! Thanks Chad (MagicMan) and Kyle (Kdog) and Jetcycles (Joe) and Patrick for making this process easier. Just got to finsih a few small details on it and its outta my garage, but I will report back on how it does in Somerville at Yegua off road park this weekend.

Glad I could help. Have fun on the 250. You will probably need to adjust the front fork to make them stiffer. There is a little screw on the bottom of the forks. Screw it in some. Just however many clicks you do on one side do it to the other.

Haha ya I sure did. And ya it's a Honda. They run forever. I was taking that other nut off on the case and it snapped too! That is brittle. Waiting on parts to fix it.

Yup, I could tell when I was originally replacing the gasket the metal had weakened, and trying to compensate for one missing bolt would probably have me trying to crank the one next to it as well. Any chance you came across a spare chain adjuster? I'm not sure if you can weld it or not it may be aluminum?
