Textile jacket help

Well I've been off the street for a while and no longer have any gear to ride in. I stopped by CG on the way home from work today and checked out a few of their jackets. The Fieldsheer Corsair they had on sale for 179.99 was the best fit and the price seemed ok but the armor was eh.... Thoughts? Other options?

thanks

martin

Hey! I personally know of two wrecks where the rider was wearing a Fieldsheer mesh jacket. Both times the jacket held up very well, and the riders were uninjured.

One of the jackets can still be worn, the other one didn't make it through the accident.

I have a Frank Thomas XTi textile, it has better armor than some "better " brands and before buying it, I was pulling at the seams and it is strong.

I took the foam back and replaced it with a four plate protector.

It seems frank thomas has improved a bit.

Check out Ride Smart Taichi gear. I plan on getting one of their jackets. They offer awesome protection and cool weather gear. See some of the video reviews.

i have the Joe Rocket with all my sponsors represented! The price was not much lower than the Ride Smart stuff, got to say it looks like they are worth the extra few bucks.

Fieldsheer's quality has gone down hill since they changed mfr'ing facilities.
I've had really good experiences with the Joe Rocket stuff.

I have and recommend the Cortech GX Air. Well vented with leather and CE pads on forearms, elbows, shoulders and back.
