I have had my bike inspection and registration out of dates, almost up to six months. I didn't pay any additional fees or anything. All I was asked was if I had received any tickets while it was expired. Even then the only concern was if the tickets were paid or not.

The cop told me that the bike hadnt been registered since 2001 so he didnt want it on the road.. Wasnt much I could do at the time so I just let him tow it.. I dont really like arguing with police officers because I usually end up in jail when I do..

I have the money to get it out now but when I called today they said I had to be there by 230 to get it or i would have to wait until the next day.. So I have to wait until tomorrow. Kinda seems weird but not much I can do about that either, just happy I can get it back.. Pretty sure it all happened for a reason so im actually not that about it anymore. Just have to park it until I can get it legal, no worries..

Now I feel bad. If I had stopped and asked I could have run home and picked up a trailer. It would have saved you a lot of headache. I had my 2 yo with me and figured you got popped for hauling azz or something.

Yea um not registered for 9yrs could probably got you towed but what was the initial stop for? Was it a speeding, then no inspection, and then the 9yr old registration? Gotta stay up to date, staying clean helps you get out of the initial ticket (sometimes) But if there are multiple violations its hard to let them go specially if they have to call the plate over the radio.

The plate was tucked by the previous owner and that led to the initial stop.. It all went downhill from there. I went to pick my bike up today so she's back in the garage.. Took the battery out and gave it to my girlfriend with the keys and told her not to let me have either until I get everything taken care of. Going to the courthouse tomorrow to get the registration taken care of, so I should be legal pretty quick. No worries, I learned my lesson the hard way. Hopefully I can get my tickets dismissed for fairly cheap.

There was an 06 or 07 zx6r next to my bike at the impound but it was in about 50 peices.. looked like a front end collision followed by a few flips.. I really hope that person made it out alive because that bike was mangled something gnarly..
