Bike is in the impound..

Got pulled over yesterday and they had my bike towed to the impound.. Cop was pretty cool and offered to tow it to my house if I could pay the tow fee to the driver right then.. But I didnt have enough cash so they just took it to the impound..

I dont have the cash to get it out and wont any time soon so I guess Im just going to have to leave it there.. This freakin sucks, I can't believe I have to loose my bike because I didnt have inspection or up to date tags.. I guess thats just my luck. Sorry guys I know its a pointless story but I needed to tell it to somebody..

That sucks. I lost a car to the impound lot once in San Antonio. Took me two weeks to get back up there to get it and they had already sold it because the towing and storage fees were like $1,500. Get it out of there quick. Just have someone pay to get it out and let them hold on to the bike until you pay them back if you don't have the money now.

I just called the impound and The lady said that even though it isnt registered in my name yet I can still get it out because I was the person on the ticket. She said if I bring the title and my Id I can fill out an affadavit and they will release the bike to me since it was not stolen.. It is 240 to get it out today, and I think my uncle may loan me the money.. If not, then I am selling my guitar and some tools and getting my baby out of auto prison..

Thanks everybody for making me feel lazy. It made me realize that the gov't doesnt actually have me by the , they just want me to think that they do.. that, I have to stop crying and get up off of my and do something about it.. After all this whole thing is my fault anyways..

$240 is a small price to pay for not having tags up to date, getting pulled over, getting towed, impounded, held, AND for the peace of mind of having your bike back in YOUR driveway today.

wow! I didnt know they have different standards for not having registration up to date for bikes, normally in a cage u just get a ticket. Do you have your motorcycle endorsement on your license or insurance? Cuz those are two things that they will tow your bike for, but just for registration sounds rediculous..

Those are fix it tickets?

Or did the bike have expired tags that were not in your name?

If that is the case then....

Being dumb is expensive....

That sucks. I saw you on my way to Fishing Tackle Unlimited. I wondered what the deal was. I just looked to see if you were hurt.
