929rr Fuel pump wont prime

Sup moto, got this 929 that hasn't ran for 2 years, drained the gas and flushed it. charged the battery and went to start it and the fuel pump would not prime. When I turn it on ill hear a click on and another click off in about 4 seconds. I'm thinking its a bad fuel pump? But the guy said it ran fine before, its just he was in the Marines. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Check power at the connector going into the fuel pump, if it has power, pull the hose that runs to the injector rail and check for the fuel priming when cycling the key.

Could be the fpr leaking also unless its built into the pump then it would be the whole pump how did you flush the fuel system if the pump wont come on? When you first turn the key on it will prime for a few seconds and then turn off and it sounds like it might be coming on if you hear it click! If you pull the airbox you might could see the primary injectors firing as you crank it not sure on the injector placement on the 929s I would look more into checking the pump before replacing it.

I pulled the tank up and unplugged the hose going to the left of the fuel rail.

If you have voltage to the pump than more than likely the pump is fubar from the 2 year old gas.
You can try taking it out and soaking it in some fuel system cleaner to see if it will free up.
