i think this is a cool picture. its very clear, they are NOT going fast at all. the kid has a helmet. and the kid is ATLEAST 5.

things like this happen all the time in HOUSTON/KATY. these a group that i ride with. (i wont say there name) but the "leader" (its not a bike CLUB its a group, no vest, etc) ride with his 13 year old son, and does wheelies up and down the streets, (freeways) guess what if i said this persons name, MANY of you on Motohouston/track junkies, would know him.

I love how people bash others for there own style. my mom took me for my first bike ride when i was 6 i think. ive taken my little cousins for a bike ride and he was 6.
does that make me a bad person? NO.

this is like saying, this guy is bad for taking his SON, (the person he loves dearest to his heart, someone he would let NOTHING happen to) is just as bad as those parents who buy there kids a crf50 to ride motocross..)

go head someone start bashing on me... thats all MH is good for now-a-days

You are looking at Kawis today, you are ghey. With that said, being opinionated does not equal bashing. Like I said, I did it as a kid, I won't do it with my kid. I don't think any less for Chris riding with his kids. But he has a lot more experience on bikes than me. And watch yo mouth talking about MH like that.

I miss the days when everyone thought it was perfectly fine to ride in the back of your fathers pick up truck....

I rode in the back of a pickup out in West Texas for well over 100miles. Listening to classic rock on the MP3... made me feel like I was 80 years old. Okay maybe that's to old haha.
That's the only time I'll ride in the back of a vehicle. I'm not riding on anyone's motorcycle.

I don't like it simply because he's not wearing enough gear(in my opinion)
That being said, my daughter has been riding with me since she was 3 1/2.
Since the state now says they have to be 5, my youngest will have to wait a while longer before she can.

I'm not really concerned about the kids age. It's where and how the kids riding. If the guy was to swerve or make any quick turns he could possibly throw the kid off. If he catches the kid that's great but now he just threw himself off balance and that leads to laying down the bike. It would be better of course if the kid is in the back. If the kid wanted to ride in the front then at least strap them to the rider if they're really confident in their skills. Stupid idea but that's my opinion.

I'd bet big money, the helmet is so big it would be useless if needed.
I am against the toddler thing, I am not against a young child riding, as long as the gear is appropriate within reason.

I see no problem with taking your kids for a ride. It's no more dangerous for the child to be on a motorcycle than to be playing in their own backyard.

man, my dad gave me a machete as a present when i was 6, i used it to chase bunnies and snakes in the woods, i ran the band saw when i was 8 and i didnt need any safety goggles, laid shingles by myself at 12, i could fish, filet and cook whenever i wanted.

seems like most kids are sissies nowadays compared to the way things used to be.

The only reason I posted it is because I think it is personally a bad decision to take your kid down the dragon like that.

tooling around back in the day was fine, because people seems to actually know how to drive. My parents did that too. cause back then if you were a bad driver it wasnt because you were texting, talking on the cell, drinking a latte....etc
