Nice! Thnkss for the heads up. I'm hoping this is the update that allows us to record, and video out, at the same time!

Been needing it.

you already can...there was just a few steps to do it (needs external power).

I know there was a way to do it, but it was really frowned apon by GOPRO designers, and a few had issues hacking thier GOPRO to work that way.

I mean "officially supported". They have been telling us R.C. fliers that it was in the works, for quite some time now.

awesome...it wasn't really hacking it...it was just starting to run a movie, then plugging in external power and pressing record or something like that. I wasn't all that interested at the time because I don't have much need, but I can definitely see where it would come in handy.

I am about to begin the update.

EDIT: ADDITIONAL

WOW! Look at these cool new accessories! I am going to order that skeleton housing....I think. Maybe I could use the live feed if I think hard enough about it.

That was easy and successful.

Once you download, it's as easy as putting the file on the card, turn off cam, press down shutter button (hold for the entire process - about 20 more seconds), turn cam on, press front button three times, UP displays, red light blinks, cam turns off...done!

One Button Mode
One Button Mode simplifies recording video and photos with your HD HERO. With One Button Mode, your camera will start recording video or photos automatically when you power the camera 'ON' and will only stop recording when you power the camera 'OFF'. The shutter button is deactivated in One Button Mode. You can only turn the camera on and off, making it the perfect setting for loaning it to friends or newbies.

Live Feed Out
Display live feed SD or HD video and audio straight out of the camera to a TV, handheld viewer, or video transmitter. Allows viewing a live video signal during preview, recording, and playback of saved files.

Live Feed On-Screen Display
Display battery life, camera mode, and recording status icons on your live feed video signal with 'On Screen Display' turned on, or turn it off to transmit only the video without any status icons.

PAL 25/50 fps Support
If you live in a PAL region (most regions outside of North America) you can now record in the PAL broadcast standard of 25 / 50 fps in the following resolutions:

r1 WVGA 50fps
r2 1280x720 25fps
r3 1280x720 50fps
r4 1280x960 25fps
r5 1920x1080 25fps

i've already used it, undetected, for some delta force missions. Unfortunately, we didn't achieve the results we were after...well, not yet.
