lol i just want to find the cheapest way.

option 1: fly there $150-200
ship the bike -$600

option 2: rent a uhaul for $$?

any idea how much itll cost to rent the smallest truck for 1 day and a gas estimate?

I was gonna say rent a Uhaul and trailer the bike, but the Uhaul website doesn't like that idea for some reason... so I dunno man.

Seems almost easier to just ship it if the Uhaul costs that much. Less headache, that's for sure.

There is usually a base charge for the truck of 20-30 dollars. Then they charge a certain amount per mile around .60 iirc. Plus you need to pay for gas. Not cheap. I have spent 60.00+ dollars for one day and 20 miles. That did not include gas either.

Just make this easy and give the bike to me. Then you don't need to worry about all this moving stuff.

The quotes provided by U-Haul do NOT include gas. gas is your own responsibility. When you rent a U-Haul for a one way trip like that, they usually charge you whatever price and allocate a specific amount of mileage. They also give you 1 week to complete the trip. Any mileage/days over that number will result in additional costs. I rented a U-Haul from Delaware to Houston. it cost A LOT, but was covered by my company so i dont remember the exact amount. The mileage they gave was plenty. The drive itself is something a long the lines of 2k miles, and they gave me 3k. At the time of pick up, you can bs the guy and tell him you need to make a few trips in town and at the destination to storage facilities, and they'll add a couple hundred miles at no extra charge.

gas alone will run you a few hundred.

dont know what kind of car you drive, but uhaul has open utility trailers and enclosed trailers. could always look into one of those.

Ride it.

Pay someone to ride it.

Sell it and buy another one when your there.

Check out Uship.com.

If your flexable on the time frame you can get a scooter shipped for
a few hundred.

I did a bike and 3 boxes of spares in '06 for $300 from California to here.
