It reminds me of a desert racer as well.

And +1 to the Acerbis cyclops looking like total .

But yet again, these are my opinions. Do what you will.

Maybe it was all those times that I watched that movie that subconsciously I liked about these. I kinda think it looks ridiculous which is I think why I sort of like it! I should be mounting it tonight without the use of zip ties.

Thanks everyone for all the humor. All last night I was thinking of mounting a red nose between the light and the fender. Maybe I will come up with something good, but the bike is back to the stock light and HID ballast/igniter for today's commute.

Having "outridden" the headlights on my KTM525SMR and Triumph T595 streetfighter I can understand you need more more light output. I dig the setup for all of the positive reasons listed above, and The Dirt Bike Kid was a great film when I was a kid!

i have always liked that buell look, but it get's pricey to achieve. These ruckus lights cost $30, and the HIDs were another $35....those buell lights were going for about $150 on ebay when ebay was popular.

i have been looking through boxes of random dirtbike fenders from previous bikes to use as a fender above the light. Nothing has jumped out at me as a winner yet.

You already went through the trouble of putting them on, just keep them.

I have always been a fan of function over fashion.

i just mocked them up yesterday with random zip ties throughout. I was seeing what materials would be needed to permanently mount this up, and there really isn't much required. I have another set of forks coming in, when they do, I will drop the forks, flip the headlight brackets (moving brackets outward), and it should bolt right up. The stocker with HID is back on for today's ride, but I am definitely going to run these. I am totally into function as well.
