i also have a bike as my only mode of transportation. i dont regret having it as my only ride, but i am 21 still at my parents house with three cars that they are willing to lend out to me when i need them. Its just too much fun to ride on the sidewalks and laugh at the people that cant get through the flooded streets since they were laughing at you for riding in the rain. i dont have a leather suit but wear my helmet textile/mesh riding jacket gloves kneepads and boots just incase, in a 15 min. commute to school today two cars pulled out in front of me no signals or anything just trying to avoid high watered areas.

Hey what kind of waterproof pack do you have? Normally I'll ride in the rain but now I'm going to school after work and worried about my books getting wet. I've driven the past couple of days and I hate driving!

Not dissing ya but if I was worried about wear from a drier I believe that would automaticly disqualify it from being any kind of protection in the event of tarmac sliding....

Just saying...

Thanks, I'll check it out. I've thought about using plastic bags or whatever, but I'd really rather just buy a decent waterproof pack to use regularly. My tank bag has an good rain cover but won't hold my 3 ring binders for skool.

it's not like it's a new track suit. it's a jacket and gloves i bought off here. if i ruin em i'm out maybe 100 bucks. i don't mind getting wet, i just don't like putting on wet gear before work, it makes me more smelly than i already am lol

Me, too!

I throw everything in the dryer. The only problem I have ever had with my gear is that my street boots shrank.

Everything else was, and is, completely fine.
