^^^ no problem.

Here's a tip. Others recommend keeping the temp just before boiling.

Alright, another update... Filled with pics of possibilities.

It has come to my attention that my GF seems a little hesitant to hop on the back of a 38 year old bike. She hasn't said no to the idea, but I can tell she's not ready. I also wouldn't want her on the back if she wasn't comfortable either... For both of our sakes.

But I'm taking all this as a blessing in disguise. While I'm still going to continue to do a flat 2up seat for the bike, I've decided to also snag a true cafe racer seat (bump stop body & all) for when I'm riding all by my lonesome.

After surfing the web though all the various cafe seat options...
Some examples...

There's the Duckbill:
ab1b01f7

The cr race replica:
b60821b4

The sleek lowback:
90f0fbda

I opted to go with a more traditional roadrace style humpback from "Roc city cafe racers". It seems like good quality stuff for a decent price. That, and it beats sending my money to veitnam by ordering a seat off of eBay. I've also noticed there is plenty of room under the hump if I decide I want to relocate the battery & electronics for that clean frame/motor look. See below.

bf17caaf
f6560179

Once upholstered it'll look similar to this seat sans the polished metal.
51e4a2cb

As for taillights, I've also looked around but I keep coming back to one style for it's simplicity & clean flush mount look. Unfortunately I've only found them at benji's cafe racer online, & it doesnt look like the sell them separately. I'll have shoot them an email & see what they can do for me.

Here's the taillight on one of there kits:
19689cb3

That's all for today folks.

If you are reffering to the seat/fender you can get it from Roc City Cafe Racers.
Here's a link...

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could direct towards anyone that I can work with on customizing my CB750. I want to do a complete makeover, I want the bike to look like a traditional cafe racer style CB750 had a child with a Ducati Sport classic 1000. I think it would be really cool, but I am lacking a technical know how to go into that much customization, plus my engine is sh*t.... So I need a little help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and of course I would constantly upload pics to the thread. Im located in central houston. Thanks

1 step forward & 2 steps back...

I'm not 100% sold on the cafe seat shell I bought. As soon as it was unpacked from the shipping box, I noticed it was slightly larger than I had hoped. She's got a WIDE , I'll just say that.

So Instead of spending hours neatly mounting this seat, I think I'll just look to heavy duty Velcro, some rattle can paint, & call this one a "rough draft".

Can anyone tell me who does great engine restoration work (CB 750) in the Houston area? I know of individuals outside of texas, but they are a little expensive and I don't want to deal with shipping my motor across the US. Thanks
