I was gone a week.
It's about 19-20 hours to Denver, then another hour or so to Estes Park. Rocky Mtn Natl Park is so beautiful. Just watch the weather, temps and ya gotta realize that the campsites have no water or elec.
Be prepared to do a lot of breathing the first couple of days.

awesome pics, alot are background setting worthy. I bet you had alot of fun away from the texas heat. How was the food out there? My sister lives in Indiana and says it tastes way different than texas food.

Nice, I spent 5 days in Colorado with the family back in mid July. Was still a good bit of snow up in Rocky Mtn Natl Park, these crappy pics were taken at Trail Ridge Road.

Did you walk up the two miles up the steep hill to the Alpine Tundra? My sister and I decided to smoke a cigarette before walking up, horrible idea. I was fixing to puke at the top. I was pushing a freakin stroller too. The last two pics were taken up there.

The food is good, except Colorado Mexican food is not the same as TexMex.
As you can see from my pics the snow is mostly gone on Trail Ridge.
