awesome story. i have stopped to help a couple of people who have broken down. i think more people should. if you arent in a super hurry to get somewhere, help someone in need. changing a spare doesnt take any money, not much time and not a whole lot of effort. it will help them out a lot, and gives you some good karma points

i was on the receiving end of some good people years ago on a trip to austin. my miata started spewing steam out of the hood, so i pulled into a parking lot to check things out. a couple of minutes later, a lady pulls up in a miata just like mine, introduces herself, and checks out the situation. with a couple of calls, she found the problem and the replacement part at a ford dealer like 15 min away. she handed my wife some money, told her to go to the bbq place we were parked at, get some food and 3 drinks, and me and the helpful lady went to the ford dealer, i got the part and she helped me install it. she had me follow her back to her house and had her mechanic husband check it out to make sure we were roadworthy.
it was very nice of her. i couldnt believe the kindness then, and i still cant.
IIRC, the problem was a small tube that had a hole in it, dripping coolant onto the exhaust header.

We may not always see eye to eye but, you're a good man Curt and you done a good thing.
It's good to know that there others that try to be good ambassadors for the moto community, maybe it helps undo some of the standup wheelie, load pipes damage.
