Thanks. I figure i need some good karma. I ride to New Mexico and other far away places so if i need to make the breakdown call someone will hafta make a longer trip than I did.

We tried pliers on the chain and it was a no go. I'm sure Zach will replace it. Just a roadside fix to get him home.

It works with my chain but the holes on the outer plate of the master link were to small for the pins on the back side. Its like DID made a mistake and mixed sizes when it was packaged. I have changed plenty of links and know how they work.

Anyways spiderman went and got it drilled out so its on and I made it home. Thanks everyone

I know Spider dude and he is really a class act. Hearing that he has done this does not at all surprise me.

and for what its worth, he is a "Harley" guy. Just thought I would mention that for those that think the brotherhood doesn't transcend makes and models.

Ahh shucks!

I was in Conroe and headed to Cleveland anyway. Glad I could help.

I measured the pins and the holes. They differ by .004 so having the correct tools woulda prolly "pressed" them together but in a gas station parking lot in BFE you gotta do what you can to get on the road.

And he didn't pay me so much as overpaid for the master link. I'm buying him a few drinks at the next SWC meet I can make.

You may wanna ask for non-press fit master link for the trunk.

I have never bought a master that didnt have to be pressed on with the tool. And those were clip types.

Yep way cool of jerry! Like I said, I'm glad to be part of motohouston. And I would be glad to pass on the favor!

P.S. my baby's for sale so if anyone is in the market for a nice r6 (I am going to replace this master link) hit me up!
