TX EXTREME OFFROAD Race #7 Shiloh Ridge Sept 18 & 19

I haven't seen a flier posted for this event yet, but the next race is at Shiloh Ridge in Alto, TX in a little over two weeks. This property is pretty awesome!!! Lots and lots of elevation change, creek climbs, etc.

Here's my write up from back in April the last time we visited this place...

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=138218

and some pics from the event...

http://picasaweb.google.com/amanda.b...at=directlink#

Visit the Texas Extreme Offroad Racing Series website for further details, including classes, pricing and schedule. As soon as a flier is published, I'll post it here.

http://www.texasxtremeoffroadracing....ge/7370235.htm

Hope to see a few of you out there, for those of you who attended the Outlaw Trax event, this place is even cooler!

I believe they have hook ups for campers, RV etc for $30/night.

Thumbs up

Otis and Danny know what they are talking about. This location is amazing. It has a lot of elevation change, which is very uncommon for Texas.

If I could make only 1 race a year this would be the one I would not miss!

Hope to see everybody there.

Chris

I was there this weekend and saw about 10 riders scouting the old courses, one rider went up hellicopter hill.

Otis does a good job of pulling down the flags and old course markings at the end of the events. Who knows though? Helicpoter hill? I think that's the one hill I got about 80% up before launching the bike into a full 360 back flip! It managed to make it to the top, I slid back down the hill....and Otis got to watch it.

here's a course update from Otis....folks, if you own a dirtbike, you WANT to make this race. You will not regret, I promise this.

Update:

Shiloh is in great condition. Dirt is awsome. The property is actually dryer than the last race. Dont let all that Houston rain fool you (again)! Just finished laying out about 80% of the new and improved course. I have found quite a bit of wooded areas that I somehow missed the first time, shame on me. I have cut some new trail and rerouted some of the old course. there is more of the flowing curving trail, everyone liked because you can just rail it. I have added a semi-flat track section at the back of the property ( it was too muddy last time). I have also stepped up the degree of difficulty in a few sections and we now have a short but nice little creek run. This might turn into an easy hard with a significant time penalty for doing the easy. Still working on this, however I will say at the end of the creek it gets quite rocky. For those that remember the hill climb up for the kids, that is now going down on the course and yes we still have that up on the right side except this time you start at a 90 deg entrance half way up, from the other direction which adds a little to the difficulty points. (NOT THE HILL WE USED FOR THE CONTEST) That one is reserved for Randy and John!

All in all this course will put a smile on your face and allow you to remember why we all race off road! If you missed this one last time now is your chance to redeem yourself and see why the shilo, post race thread, is one of the most popular on this forum!

I will have a GPS and video up by weekends end, at the latest.

Lets go race!

Well it is getting close. Shiloh 2 in 6 days. Cant wait. Here is a short course video. There is way too much fun stuff to get into the video but I think you will get a good feel for the course. We are actually using some additional property that I did not run last time. Enjoy it.
http://texasxtremeffroadracing.phanfare.com/4825373

Of course, just like last time the Xtreme Series has complete use and control of our racing area. There will be no un-authorized people/ATV on our side of the property.

Also remember that Shiloh has full facilities. Water, Electricity, Showers, restrooms and a bike wash.

Shiloh will have hot dogs and hamburgers as well as snacks and drinks available.

Lets go Race!

glad to see the shipping company added that packaging paper....I'd hate to see some dirt bike tires shift around while in transit.

Miranda-you gonna need them tires, this property is EXCELLENT...lots of elevation!

Are ya'll camping? I plan on bringing my camper and grill along with a cooler for some Saturday night debauchery (ok maybe not debauchery, but I will be grillin' and chillin')...ya'll are welcome to bring some meat to throw on the grill....byob though.

We will be staying in a hotel.

If you bring the grill we will definitely bring some things to make good cookinz'! Sausages for Chad--cuz that's how he rolls--and marinated chicken for me. Grocery shopping Friday.
