How Do You Decide Which Laws Are Okay to Break?

I only ask, because my son noticed me speeding, but unwilling to 'texit' when the traffic slowed, so he asked me the very same question.

My answer at the time was that I didn't really know how to answer - so I put him off and pondered for a while. Now I've decided that the way I decide is the punishment. If the punishment doesn't hurt, I'm willing to break the law for it: ie speeding, running yellow/red lights (without cameras, of course), passing cars ninja-style on the HOV, etc... mostly driving laws. The fines are usually nominal and it really doesn't hurt me at all to have to pay $100 lawyer fee every 15 years to keep my record clean.

Of course it's also true that I don't think I'll get caught...

You also have , so chances are you wont get the ticket anyways. If you dont get caught, its not breaking the law.

My fiancee was driving through a very bad part of down town in baton rouge the other day and carefully ran a couple red lights to get away from what looked like trouble on the street corners. It's a part of town that no good looking girl should be in alone without a loaded .45 in her lap for safety. I feel that was justifiable being that it was in the name of her staying safe.

Either all of baton rouge is like that, or we may have been driving through the same part of town. Lol. Some areas of that place look a lil rough.

Haha, not all areas of BR are like that but there are alot of areas that woman by themselves will go out of their way to avoid. She had to drive through this particular area becuase she was leaving a concert downtown.

No, that is what they call charm...

My wife, my ex fiancée, and all my ex girlfriends I have only seen one ticket by any of them. And that is due to my wife doing 90 in a 55. They all got off of the rest of them. You are just doing it wrong.

I have to clearly see the purpose of the law. If I'm not putting any increased risk to the public by breaking it, then it.

I refuse to give head to the cop. Or flash him my boobies. Maybe that's doing it wrong, but I give him respect and he gives it back. Of course, it helps that I've only been pulled over once (which was dismissed) in the past 16 years. I am just really good at not getting caught.

My military ID got me out of tickets in an instant.

I will have to take a picture of my collection of warnings that I had in my glovebox.
