buying a house is a HUGE financial obligation. It may be about the same price as an apt, but at least you can get out of an apt lease... it's so much hassle and money to sell a house you've only had for a year or 2. you won't have much equity built up, you'll be lucky if you break even, unless you put a fat down payment. I personally don't plan on purchasing a home untill i am married, which will probably be never. Apt dweller i will remain
