After a high-speed (read: 128ish shown on my vtx speedo) test ride I'm sad to say my FS-15 will have to be replaced. I wasn't ready to spend more money.

So, for those who care about first thoughts. At first I thought the narrow opening--courtesy of the removable chin deflector--was a little too snug for comfort. Once inside, though, it feels like a bunch of miniature helmet- elves are pressing pillows against your head. Quite nice. You can feel airflow beginning around 40mph and the rolling air port flaps actually do something you can notice. Wind noise is almost nil! The chin air dam, narrow opening and what I'll call a squeeze-down visor lock work very well. I had no head shake either, on a cruiser with no windshield that's saying something. Fit is definitely long-oval so anyone with an Asian shaped head is S.O.L. Sorry guys.

Anything I missed you wanna know?

What is pre-preg? It's a method of laying out flexible materials in a pre-arrange fashion then heat-forming them into shape. This method is very expensive and extremely strong. Shoei uses this method currently while Arai is still using the "lay fiberglass over a mold" method. Pre-preg is used to make things that need extreme strength and still be light weight--like the massive blades of a wind generator.
