I have been with Verizon since way before...back when it was "GTE" I think. I have really been pleased with their customer service and I have had really great luck with no dropped calls. I'll give you this though...their phones most definitely suck and they have nothin new coming out. Piece of as far as that goes.

ya they where great back then, but now with the switch to all digital phones they have the worest coverage area out of all of them, their customer service used to be good, until they started doing mainly goverment contracts and moved out of radioshack (getting ready to set up an area in walmart to buy their phones) i would go with spring over verizon any day, and i dont even like sprint.

the thing i hate the most about sprint is they get you for every little thing, your phone stolen you get to buy a new one then pay 36 bucks to add to your acount, you buy a phone off ebay or get it given to you, you still pay 36 bucks with cingular and t-mobile there is no charge to change hand sets, only what they charge when you upgrade your contract which is not a big deal.

all about the same IMO, have had sprint for 7-8-9 yrs , maybe longer. we get service out in BFE Kansas, even when her folks get bad service we get roaming. who cares about those extra fee's we don't change phones often.

i got sprint and never really had any problems with them (always have reception and rarely get dropped calls), but i think they have for phones, and compared to most of the other service providers, i think they have more expensive plans. t-mobile has really cheap plans and some bad phones, but i hear their service isn't worth a if you're not in a major area. i think i may end up going with cingular here in the near future, even after 7 years with sprint.

I've had Cingular for years, going back to when they were Houston Cellular. Never had a problem. Get good coverage, even when I travel.
, I get a signal even in the boonies when we race at Oak Hill or Hallett.
When I used to work the oilfield I would get a signal on some of the rigs in the gulf!

wife just renegotiated our contract:

so far, i'm on the phone w/ Dana from Sprint right now. (btw, she's the most competent person i've EVER spoken w/ from sprint. it's awesome!)

we're getting:
2 year agreement
$69.99 - 10% each month for being an existing customer ($7)
free roaming, free PCS to PCS, free nights starting at 7, 800 shared min and no charge for the additional line.

PLUS, two FREE katana's--one black and one pink

This is AWESOME!!! esp since i pay currently $5 for the roaming and $5 for the 7:00 start nights... and then pay for my additional line!

SO, our bill will be $63 + taxes a month, down from $95 a month (incl taxes).
