gotta say this though its nice to hear when a fellow motorcyclist has the to do his own work. i came from the age of hot rods and did not matter, you worked on your own with your buddy or what not. its also nice cause your not a dumb spending 900+ on a system, when you could probably buy a bender, welder and a buffer and all the supplies you need for half that price. and you can put your name on it. p.s. i know somebody will say well its all the research they put in it, and shops gotta make there money putting it on, well its my take on this get over it.

^^^^^^^^ I agree completely, I try to build all my own stuff. I am currently working on a motorcyle stand that I seen online,

All total I may have 100.00 in it when I am finished.

heres a pic of the mockup idea i have, theres some issues to work out with on the core size and everything just making sure stuff fits but this is pretty close to what im going for. Its an 8" can but could be 10" or 12" max.

so its about 7' worth of new tubing, i gotta route outside the tire width for 5.5" suspension travel which i didnt really think about.. I wanna fab coned tips for the end and do a tri-oval shape with the can but i havent a clue how to make that shape right now.

I also thought about trimming the tail like the new R1's that have the undertail exhaust but im not sure how much i would have to do with the trunk/frame back there to get it shrunk to what i want. I was thinking of just cutting the plastic and folding it in concave and melding it back together.

picking the bike up friday from Motorcycles Unlimited and i'll be able to get the rest of the info to order all the parts.
