For my fellow riders in the Woodlands.

I was recently there 2 weeks ago and didn't realize how nice it is up there. I was thinking of taking the bike to watch my nephew play (Highlanders) provided that doesn't rain. Any suggestions on what roads to take while there and what roads to avoid?

the woodlands pretty much sucks for riding. the patrol has been stepped up drastically in the last couple of years, and the speed limits are pretty low. the roads arent even any fun.
best head north of montgomery if you want any good actual riding.

Thanks. I heard the traffic is killer during the rush. I was just wondering about the off peak and the weekends. You're the third person to recommend montgomery especially near the lake.

woodlands parkway and lake woodlands follow almost a freeway scedule, stay away during rush hour times and everything will be gravy.

and yes, the roads blow.

Even though I like driving to northshore park to relax sometimes.

I was thinking Thursday around 2pm. My nephew's game is at 4 and I think it's at the high school. I was planning to spend the night and ride home on Friday. However, I work for a Weather and Aviation firm and there's rain in the forecast for Friday (50%) and I have to ride all the way back to Friendswood. I was thinking of leaving early in the morning but I was told traffic in the mornings are an all out nightmare.
