Come to think of it. He is a friend of a friend, and I havent heard anything about it since he posted about court.. etc.. If you are on anything motorized and run. Its a felony(including a golfcart or so my lawyer said).. Moral of the story? Drop the bike and RUNN!!!!

Edit: I was bored one night and searched for tips on "running" after the whole R1 incident out towards F-ville.. where he made it through multiple counties and still got caught.. One said to go to a mall and stash your gear and wait it out?? Sounds like it would be hard to do though, and later they could still get surveillance tapes and have your face.. There is no good option that I can see except dont do it.

One time many moons ago on 249 feeder, was going over the limit and about two block in front there was a sheriff parked, turned his lights on and I decided to just pull over right in front of him, he still gave me a ticket. , lol

Someone was caught on a chase video doing exactly that...going to a mall, changing clothes and then walking around like a normal patron. He got caught.

yeah cause that was a police surveillance video and they had a chopper.

I head a story once of a person that stole an 08 graffiti out of Rockwall in Dallas. There is only one main road in and out of Rockwall. For what ever reason he rode it back the next week and a trooper saw him and started pursuing. The trooper actually knocked him off the road once and he still managed to hang on and make it up to the Wal-Mart. He dumped the bike in front, ran in took off his helmet and gloves, found some girls and just started talking to them and ended up walking out with them. He got away but here is were it gets funny. He was walking down the street with them because they just so happened to be on foot and one of the girls boyfriends walked up. He asked what the he was doing and this guy was like man I don't need any trouble right now. Long story short is the dude almost beat his and gave him a black eye. When his friends got there to pick him up they were glad he was ok but they clown him to this day on that one.

Someone once told me if your gonna ride like that ride with people who do it as there occupation. Bike thieves that wire or plug the bike and actually ride it away are professionals at getting away during pursuit. When they are just joyriding(typically on a unit) they follow a few rules that go something like...

- Stay around 120-130 all the time, cops tend not to with you over 100, and if they do you already got the jump on them, at which time take it till you top out
- Never ride with a plate, it's like a $30 ticket, so put it in the trunk if your legal
- Use traffic to your advantage, lane split, and never hesitate
- Ride 80% of your ability, because if you wreck, you lose
- Kill switches on your lights
- Get away quick and disappear, don't slowing try to lose them, lose them immediately, they will call backup
- When you make that decision know that there is no going back, hesitation will kill you and you lose valuable time that you can't get back

Like any crime know the consequences and be prepared to live with them...

Sloblack was quick, if that is what happened to him I am really sorry to hear that.
