Austin roads

I'll be in Austin next week with the scooter and I'm looking for suggestions on some good roads. I'll be staying about 12 miles east of the capital building so that would be my starting point. Any help would be appreciated. If you know the approximate mileage of your proposed ride please include it. Thanks.

Sorry couldn't help it.

From what it looks like where 290 hits 35 they merge. Then 290 splits off again at 71. If you were on 290 and continued west instead of merging with 35 you would be on 2222.

when i went on it there was a sign that said jsut "divel's back bone" so i am guesing it is a street. however i though this route was more of a scenic route if your lookign for that. lime creek is good which i like better, but its a residental street also and there was a lot of gravel where their drive ways was, the few of them that was.
