Don't worry about the bike or compensation. The 2 riders are what you should
focus on at this time. Gear FTW!

Texas liability minumums are all you are going to get unless she's worth bank.

You can win a bazzilion dollar judgement but you can't get blood from a stone....

Honeslty, first that comes to mind is... how often do you hear of a rear-end collision in which the person in the front/lead gets ticketed/set as fault. The saving grace would be either the driver admitting fault and/or as stated... multiple witness confirming what took place as the leads fault.

The most I see from the lawsuit is replacement bikes and hospital bills covered.. and that is at best.

"Some lady in an escalade hit me today, I am gonna be rich!"

Good luck on both of their recovery's... worry about their health before their "payday"

I wouldn't consider their current condition fine . I would take. Safe trip home over the recovery they are facing versus a few bucks anyday. Hope they heal up 100 percent

Yea, but what's every bikers first words after a wreck?

"Oh *ish.. how's my bike?"

Glad the riders are alive bro.. Let's get them back to good health before you worry about emptying an insurance company's shallow pockets.. Well not that they are, but they will act like it. And a lawyer will get 30-40% of all monies.

And if you posted both, they'd be asking for pics of the chick in the Escalade.

Shake off the haters man. Your bro and cousin are alive. The rest REALLY doesn't matter. Stop and think what right now would be like if one of them hadn't made it.

Soooooo, was the chick in the Escalade hot?

Here's the deal.. It's probably best to post pics of the bike vs your bro.. Let me tell you why.. We all here ride.. We know how a bike is NOT suppose to look.. lol.. Looking at the wreck most of us probably had a picture in our heads before you even gave the description. But even then, there is still some disconnect to the reality of it. I mean if you haven't seen someone really f*ed up in real life, it's not pretty. And mentally a lot can't handle it. I don't mean f*ed up after the docs had a chance to do some cleaning either.. I mean fresh cracks or open wounds, etc. So that pic of the bike keeps the responsibility that comes along with our chosen mode of transportation but allows us to still live in our world of "it wouldn't happen to me".. (ok.. most of us are over that.. but you know what I mean).. I think a good percentage of people, if they could see some real live aftermath, at least 20% would get off their bikes preeminently. I mean, how many people saw what smoking does to your lungs or your teeth etc and quit smoking.

All that to say, thanks for sharing the way that you did. Very thoughtful, even if not the intent.. haha.

Truly hope for a full recovery and they get back to riding just as quickly as they recover. Many prayers.
