You need to strip the plastics and start tracing wires from the starter relay out, if you have a voltmeter that would help tremendously. Sounds like you have an exposed or crossed wire somewhere, possible a bad ground or connection. Of course if you cant keep power to the bike a voltmeter isnt gonna help. Have you done any mods recently, or done anything different with maintanence or cleaning it. Worst case is something burned up in the electric system, generally burning smell is a sign something is fried.

look at your forks where the locking mechanism is. when my bike had this exact same problem some of the wiring was pinched and grounding out on the frame

Sounds like a pretty good direct short to blow the 30 amp fuse.
Do you have any aftermarket items like HID's etc?
If so check that wiring first.
The '06 and up GSXR's are also notorious for having charging system failures: stators and regulator/rectifiers. Check the wiring coming out of the l/h engine cover: stator. It will be 3 yellow wires. See if they are burnt.
