if you want to get a good idea of what this route is like try to look at an atlas of texas or the like or use yahoo maps or mapquest.

(1)---36 north to 1094 left/west

(2)---1094 to 109 left/west @ (New Ulm)

(3)---109 straight thru to 1291

(4)---1291 to 159 left @ (Fayettville)

(5)---159 to 71 La Grange bypass right/west

(6)---71 bypass to 77 right/north

(8)---153 straight onto 95 @ (Smithville)

(9)---95 south to 535 right/west @ (Smithville)

(10)--535 to 20 left/south (near Red Rock)

(12)--812 to 21 left/west

(13)--21 to Fm 150 right to Kyle

(14)--Fm 150 west thru Kyle to 3237

(15)--3237 to 12 left/south (south of woodcreek)

(17)--32 to 3424 left/south

i like to keep a spirited to fast pace at least. i go really really fast when the roads permit triple digits. other than that i just wanna have a bad ride up there.

anyway nice choice of bike. what year and color did you get?

i've got two cabins reserved. they are right next to each other, and face each other. right now i've got 9 people commited to going, so there's 3 open spots left. the cabins can hold 6 people a piece.

Hey guys...obviously I can't go but we used to head up to Austin with my car club all the time and the best road we found was Lime Creek Road. It runs near some parks by the lakes with lots of stop offs with tables and trails to the lake, etc etc. I'm not sure if the road has a number attached to it...I just know it's Lime Creek Road...and it's freakin' awesome!

Hope you guys have fun...be safe!

Edit:Here's a map...and some map shots.

Looks like you go 2222 north/west till you get to Cypress Creek Park and then you meet up with 2769. Go west (left) on 2769 which is also called Cypress Creek Park until it pretty much dead ends into Lime Creek Road. There are some multicolored buildings up there...Kinda looks like Cuba or something and you turn right...Lime Creek winds up a huge hill and there are lots of stop offs and parks with benches and paths to go walk down by the lake. It's awesome!

make sure Max knows you are going for sure...look in this thread for his e-mail addy. He is the one making lodging reservations and collecting money. Unless you pay him beforehand....you probably don't have a spot to sleep.
Just letting you guys know.
