i had a similar problem with 2 different sets of michelins. At around 1000 miles, the front end would go into a wobble during breaking.. Needless to say i don't ride on michelins anymore

Glad you got it figured out!

I read the title and had to come in to check it out. My Q2's have been sticking like glue on track and street...

Dont let my issue with Q2s stop you from buying them....but I wont.

And I did say before they are a decent beginner/intermediate tire for the street rider with occasional track day.

Im sure the incident I had was isolated case.

My issue with them is more than just the soft spot in the carcass, but I also didnt like the change in geometry of my suspension and the handling sucked as well. Turn in on them required a lot more input. All of the other tires Ive run the bike just wanted to dive right into the corner with minimal input. That is another reason I didnt like them.

Yeah...only difference is...Im not getting paid to say they are great tires. That interview had a COUPLE pictures that it showed over and over...and his lean angle was that of a beggining intermediate rider in them. And what he said about the geometry of the tires is in agreement with what I said about them.

I had no issue with grip on the tires (although I wouldnt attempt to push them harder than I was).

I still dont like the tires...and wont use them. I dont care what Ben Bostrom says under the dunlop cameras. I take my experience over a marketing hook anyday. I had a much better experience this weekend at ECR on Bt003rs tires.

Thanks John for the advice...i did go faster after taking that michelin sticker off. lol.

this pic is on the q2 tires. They were decent for 1 track day...then they wobbled bad (front did) I still kept the rear for off season street riding.
