when my leather gets rained on do I just wipe it off? Or should I treat it?

Yea, had I left the house 10 min earlier I would have been stuck driving to work in the rain.. Glad I stalled and then looked outside again.

I enjoy riding in the rain Well, not the misty/dirty rain but heavy downpours. It's a good experience, especially when negotiating traffic. And leather loses vital oils with water and is prone to dry rot, reducing its effectiveness in a fall, so I would treat it.

I have treated my jacket/gloves/boots with Nikwax Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (about $30 for both) and would highly recommend. My leathers look and feel newer than when brand new!

...It rains in texas?

Riding in the rain isn't that bad, unless your on your way to work or somewhere for some fun, and you dont have an extra set of clothes.
